Southwest Showcase Sundays unites the community for family fun through food, music, art and exhibition. The events which are held at the Spirit of Jubilee Park (100 block of South Ave.) on various Sunday's throughout the summer serve as a platform to "showcase" the many talents of our city's residents while offering something for all age groups. We invite you to bring your family out for each and every Southwest Showcase Sundays to enjoy the park the atmosphere and the entertainment.

Showcase Sunday July 29, 2007
Showcase Sundays has surpassed all of our expectations this year. Attendance has been great, all of the entertainment has been good and the people have had fun. All the thanks and praise belongs to God however, we would like to acknowledge you too for your participation. This weekend "Gospel Showgroup Sunday" will feature two gospel show groups. Opening the set at 4:00 PM will be the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Co. Gospel Choir. This choir is led by none other than LaGreer Cummings and is backed by the new Hip Soul band "Electric Relaxation." If you got your groove on July 15, you will definately get your praise happening this week. At 6:00 PM the "Foundation" group will take the stage. This group is led by Calvin Carter and will be backed by some of the hottest musicians in town (gospel or otherwise). You can look forward to having a Sunday afternoon filled with family fun and gospel music. This will surely be a treat. Reggie Seigler Please comment.
